Oxford Register Office Wedding | Tina & Brendan
Tina and Brendan's wedding at Oxford Register Office was a pleasure to photograph; we also took photos on the roof terrace of the Ashmolean Museum and at The Trout Inn at Wolvercote.
A selection of weddings at register offices in London and Surrey. Register office weddings are usually more intimate, low-key events, usually with just close family and friends in attendance. I always enjoy shooting these weddings as they are typically informal and relaxed.
If you’re planning a register office wedding, please do get in touch – I’d love to help!

It's always a pleasure to photograph weddings at Artington House in Guildford. The registrars and staff there are always very friendly and helpful. Artington House is only an eight-minute drive from me so no stressful journeys are involved!
Very often, the small-scale low-key weddings are some of the nicest - and that was certainly the case when these two grooms (both called Benjamin!) got married at Southwark Register Office. Both Benjamins are from France, and they decided to get married before moving back there. Two good friends stood by them as witnesses, and a simple but moving ceremony was conducted by the Southwark registrars. After the wedding itself, we did some simple photos in the garden, and then I left them to celebrate.
Guildford Castle wedding photos | Ewelina & Spencer
Sometimes I am booked by clients months, even years in advance, sometimes I get a call at the last minute – either way I am happy to help – so when Spencer called me to see if I could photograph his Guildford wedding to Ewelina in a couple of days’ time I said “Sure, no problem!”.
The ceremony took place at Guildford Register Office on Portsmouth Road, with close family and friends in attendance. We took a few photos in the garden at the Register Office then drove back into Guildford and headed for the grounds of Guildford Castle… (more…)
Leatherhead register office wedding | Lindsey & Drew
It’s not every day you get chased by dinosaurs in the gardens at The Mansion, Leatherhead Register Office… but that’s what Lindsey and Drew wanted and that’s what they got! 😀 They asked me to recreate a famously Photoshopped wedding image by Louisana photographer Quinn Miller, where the couple and guests all flee in terror from a rampaging Tyrannosaurus Rex…
I decided to go one better and include two T-Rexes – one for the bride, one for the groom! I don’t normally do this kind of trick photography but it was fun to put this together in Photoshop, with the help of a couple of stock images from fotolia.com. (more…)
Mayfair Library Wedding – Nina and Hasan
It doesn’t matter whether a wedding is big or small, it’s all about two families coming together… and there is plenty for me to photograph! Nina and Hasan’s wedding was simple and straightforward – a civil ceremony in the Marylebone Room at the Mayfair Library register office in South Audley Street London W1, with some photos in the park afterwards.
They are planning a move overseas quite soon so having a small, intimate family wedding fitted in with their plans. (more…)
Richard and Dawn’s wedding at Guildford Register Office was a small family affair, nice and simple and straightforward. The weather was kind to us when we went outside after the civil ceremony to do some photos in the grounds of Artington House. (more…)
One of the things that’s fun about photographing weddings is that they come in all shapes and sizes – some are grand affairs with guests numbered in the hundreds, some are low-key, intimate family affairs, like Sharon and Mark’s wedding at Guildford Registry Office.
Everybody was relaxed and happy and the whole thing went off without a hitch – if you don’t count the occasional rain shower which has been such a feature of our summer this year!
After the ceremony we drove to Godalming and took some pictures down by the river Wey, before the wedding breakfast at “Bel & the Dragon”, in the old church on Bridge Street.
