Oxford Register Office Wedding | Tina & Brendan
A quick trip up the M40 last week to shoot Tina and Brendan’s wedding in the Dexter Room at Oxford Register Office in Tidmarsh Lane, right next door to Oxford Castle. Family and friends were on hand to help them celebrate, despite a few delays caused by Oxford’s notorious traffic. I met Brendan and the guests at the Register Office and we did a few photos with them and with Brendan’s best man Nigel, before Tina arrived in a very elegant white Jag.
There was one small hitch as Brendan had managed to leave the wedding ring at the hotel, but luckily a volunteer provided a stand-in ring so the ceremony was able to go ahead!
Drinks and canapés in the Ashmolean Rooftop Restaurant
After the wedding itself we all walked the short distance up Worcester Street and via Gloucester Green Square to the Ashmolean Museum. Here we paused on the steps to do some family group photos, before heading up to the fourth floor and the Ashmolean’s very stylish Rooftop Restaurant for champagne and canapés.
I also took the opportunity to do a few pictures with Tina and Brendan on the rooftop terrace – it was a bit cloudy and drizzly but they nobly braved the elements!
Photos and cake cutting at The Trout Inn
Once we’d done the photos at the Ashmolean we relocated to the Trout Inn on the outskirts of Oxford.
The Trout is a very pretty 17th century pub built in classic Cotswold stone, in Wolvercote on the banks of the Thames. I took Tina and Brendan on to the terrace for some more photos of just the two of them and also with their flower girl Eryn.
Although the weather was a bit windy and threatened rain, it held off for most of the time with just a bit of light drizzle as we were walking to the Ashmolean, so on the whole we did well weatherwise!
Here’s a selection of my favourite images from the day:
Many congratulations to Tina and Brendan and best wishes for your future together!
