Clock Barn Hall wedding photography Godalming
A hot one! That’s probably how best to describe Yveta and Adam’s Clock Barn Hall wedding – temperatures reached almost 30C in the afternoon as the guests enjoyed the sunshine on the lawn at Clock Barn Hall near Godalming.
I started the day with Yveta and her bridesmaids for bridal preparations at the Hog’s Back Hotel Farnham on the Hog’s Back (where else!). After getting some photos of the girls getting ready I drove across to Clock Barn Hall just the other side of Godalming, where the ceremony was to take place.
Adam and his best man (and brother) Matt were already there – just some last minute fixing of ties and buttonholes to do before the guests arrived by coach for the ceremony. Followed very soon afterwards by Yveta and the bridesmaids.
It was great that many of Yveta’s family and friends had been able to come over from the Czech Republic for the wedding. Yveta was walked down the aisle by her dad Jarek.

After the ceremony, and the all-important confetti throwing pictures, Adam and Yveta and their guests were able to relax in the sunshine. After they’d had time to have a glass of Pimms and chat to their guests, we did some family group photos. I suggested that we wait until after the wedding breakfast to do the photos with just Yveta and Adam, so that the sun would be lower and the temperature a bit cooler. That worked very well as there was more of a golden glow in the sky instead of full-on overhead sun!
As you will know if you follow my blog I try to keep my couple photo session fairly short and sweet, so that the bride and groom don’t miss out on time with their guests. But I feel it’s important to do some pictures with just the two of them so they get some relaxed but stylish images on their special day. In this case we used the seat under the arch and the black lap-boarded wall of the barn to begin with, then did some photos under the trees and on the bridlepath that runs through the farm. I used an off-camera flash behind the couple to add a bit of sparkle.
And then it was time for the cake-cutting and dancing!!
Here is a slideshow and then some of my favourites from the day. BTW I shoot everything in colour, but the couple also get a second set of images in black and white.
Many congratulations to Yveta and Adam and best wishes for a very happy future together. If you are getting married at Clock Barn Hall or another Surrey Wedding venue, please do get in touch!
