Hampshire engagement shoot | Laura & Matthew
Laura & Matthew’s wedding is only a couple of months away, so I thought it was time I did a pre-wedding (aka engagement) shoot for them. The idea is for me to get to know them a bit better, find out their likes and dislikes where photography is concerned, and also give them some practice at being in front of the camera.
I find with most couples that although they take plenty of casual personal snapshots and selfies, very often they haven’t had a formal photo shoot with a professional before – which can of course be a bit intimidating at first! So part of the idea is to help dispel any nervousness they may feel, and make sure that all goes smoothly on the wedding day.
It was a pleasure photographing Laura & Matthew – if they had any nerves they didn’t last long, and they were very easy-going and fun. And there was a guest appearance by Alf the dog as well…
We wandered around the gardens and found some cool backgrounds – some sunshine as well would have been nice, but that’s why I bring my flashgun!
I’m looking forward to photographing Laura and Matthew’s wedding in September – watch this space!
