Deep in the heart of “la France profonde” is the Chateau de Lisse, situated at the end of a country lane a few kilometres from the town of Nérac in Lot-et-Garonne.
Founded in the 13th century and much extended since, the château has its own chapel available for weddings but Charlotte and Rob opted for a humanist ceremony outdoors on the terrace.
Although the wedding took place at the end of September the weather was kind, not as hot as it can get in south-western France in high summer, with a few clouds and very comfortable temperatures.
