A Loseley Park wedding
Loseley Park is a superb wedding venue and very local to me, so I was glad to be asked by Jo and Al to photograph their wedding there.
The ceremony was ably officiated by the Rev Canon Mervyn Roberts at St Peter & St Paul Church in Godalming, with the reception taking place at Loseley Park.
One very unusual feature of their wedding ceremony was the participation of Jo and Al’s Newfoundland puppy Baloo, who acted as ringbearer, with the rings attached carefully to his collar!
Baloo is clearly very important to Al and Jo, so having the go-ahead from the minister to include him in the ceremony was much appreciated I think.
Loseley Park wedding photos
Although we were blessed with some spring sunshine, it wasn’t all that warm so we did the family group photos in the library at Loseley Park. After everyone had had a chance to relax, chat, and enjoy a glass of champagne, I ventured out with Jo and Al for some photos of just the two of them in the gardens. Oh and of course we had to get a few pictures with Baloo as well!
Then we all moved across to the Tithe Barn for the wedding breakfast, speeches and dancing.
Having your wedding reception at a stately home built in the days of Queen Elizabeth 1st (and especially one that’s been in the same family for over five hundred years) is pretty special!
