The Landmark Hotel London is a deservedly popular wedding venue in Marylebone – combining a central location, some old-world glamour and style, and a stunning modern glass-roofed atrium.
Once upon a time it was the Great Central Hotel, serving nearby Marylebone station, terminus of the Great Central Railway, and the last of the major London railway hotels to be built (it opened in 1899), in the Gothic Revival style.
The central courtyard originally allowed guests to be driven right into the hotel by horse and carriage – during the 1920s it was transformed into a dance floor! Nowadays it’s the heart of the hotel with its restaurant, sweeping staircase and glass roof.
The banqueting rooms still bear witness to the splendours of the Victorian and Edwardian eras, and offer spacious accommodation for your civil ceremony, cocktails and wedding reception. Regent’s Park is a short walk away if you’d like to get some photographs taken outdoors – though the interior of the hotel offers some splendid locations as well. The Landmark is a great venue for London wedding photography.
