On 25th August my fellow professional photographer Paul Walker from Ayr is doing a “doggie photo marathon” – aiming to photograph as many dogs as possible in a 15-hour day! What for? To raise money for the Dog’s Trust (formerly known as the National Canine Defence League), a charity that does amazing work rescuing and rehabilitating dogs.
While of course there are many charities out there, I think Paul has found such an original way of raising money, and for such a good cause, that it deserves our support. So donate if you can!
You can donate online via Paul’s page at JustGiving – it’s really easy!
Read more about Paul’s “doggathon” here, and about the Dog’s Trust here.
By the way – the photo of the sleepy pooch above is of Dixie, who lives with my brother and sister-in-law in the Turks and Caicos Islands in the Caribbean. She was a rescued dog too (there’s a big stray dog problem out there) and now has a very happy life and is the friendliest dog ever (unless you’re a burglar!). 🙂
