Volcanoes and travel…

Well it’s been an interesting week hasn’t it?

Ever since the Eyjafjallajokull volcano erupted (I cheated too and copied and pasted the name) and closed down European airspace I’ve been checking the news to see if it would disrupt my journey back to the UK next week.

Now thankfully it seems as if European airspace is reopening, and regular services will be resumed over the next few days.

While nobody knows exactly what will happen, it does look as if the eruption is past its peak and that things will return to normal.

I certainly hope so – while I will look back on my time in Turks & Caicos with great affection and lots of good memories, I’m also looking forward to new opportunities in the UK, and hanging around waiting for a flight will just be too frustrating!
