Thornton Manor Cheshire Wedding Venue

You are currently viewing Thornton Manor Cheshire Wedding Venue

Thornton Manor in Cheshire is an elegant Grade II listed country house originally owned (and much extended) by Lord Leverhulme, founder of the Lever Brothers soap company.

It was built in the mid-19th century in an Elizabethan style and is now one of Cheshire’s premier venues for weddings and corporate events.

Wedding breakfasts are often held in the splendid surroundings of the Music Room with its barrel-vaulted glass-panelled roof. Thornton Manor is licensed for civil ceremonies, or of course you may choose to get married elsewhere and  just have your reception at the Manor.

The garden contains an elegant colonnade and a walk of lime trees which are both excellent locations for photographs, and wedding breakfasts for larger numbers of guests can be held in marquees in the grounds, including the Waterside Pavilion by the lake.
