A couple of weekends ago I was off up the M40 and M6 to Stafford again, to shoot with Gill Taylor…

This time the occasion was Alison and Nick’s wedding at Weston Park, a spectacular 17th century mansion set in acres of parkland. The weather had decided to be “British” and it rained all morning – but it stopped in time for the ceremony, and in any case we had the splendid interiors of the mansion to work with, so it didn’t really matter.

Last weekend I travelled up the M40 and M6 to Stafford, to shoot the wedding of Carolyn and Adam, alongside my friend Gill Taylor of Gill Taylor Photography.

This was my first wedding shoot since I arrived back in the UK, so I was looking forward to working in cooler, more comfortable temperatures – but also with light that’s a bit less bright than I have been used to!

It was certainly a fun wedding to shoot – Adam is from Stafford (but of Scots descent, hence the Royal Stuart tartan) while Carolyn is from the USA, so it was a big get-together with family members from both sides of the pond meeting for the first time… Read the full article →
