Walled Garden Cowdray wedding photography – James & Jo

If “The Sun” newspaper were reporting on James & Jo’s wedding, the headline would have to be “what a scorcher!” 🙂

Last Sunday was an exceptionally hot day.The sunshine made for some great pictures, but wasn’t the most comfortable environment for Jo and James’ guests, who gathered at The Walled Garden at Cowdray, West Sussex for the civil ceremony and reception.

The Walled Garden is a lovely venue for a wedding, and the guests were able to enjoy the gardens in all their summer splendour.

Around 4.30pm we went across to the ruins of the Tudor Manor House for some photos, then returned to the Walled Garden for family group shots.

After the wedding breakfast, which was superbly catered by Caper & Berry, with flowers provided by Lawrence Morris, James and Jo surprised their family and friends by taking to the skies in a hot air balloon!

As they disappeared off into the distance we thought for a while that we weren’t going to see them again, but fortunately they returned to close the evening with their first dance…

Here is a selection of some of my favourite images from the day – click on any thumbnail below to view the images larger in a pop-up window:
