James and Jo’s engagement shoot at Winkworth

James and Jo’s engagement shoot at Winkworth

The recent very warm and sunny weather may have upset a few gardeners, but it’s been great for photography! On Easter Sunday I met Jo and James (along with their two dogs Lottie and Daisy) at Winkworth Arboretum, for a pre-wedding photo-shoot…

I like to do a pre-wedding portrait session with couples whose wedding I am going to photograph – it’s a great way to get to know them a little better and also gives them a bit of practice in being in front of the camera – which I know can be a bit nerve-wracking! And they (I hope) can see how it can all be reasonably relaxed and not too frightening to have your picture taken! So the option is there to do an “engagement shoot” if you’d like to.

I really enjoyed this session – Jo and James were very easy-going – and it was fun having their two dogs along (Lottie and Daisy you were very well behaved!) And just look at all those bluebells in the woods – we timed it perfectly for those…

I’m very much looking forward to shooting the wedding in June at the Walled Garden at Cowdray – but in the meantime here are some of our pictures from Winkworth.
