Cambridge pre-wedding shoot

A couple of weeks ago I drove up to Cambridge to do a pre-wedding photo-shoot for Elaine and Tony, with my colleague Chanelle.

Elaine studied at Cambridge so having a photo shoot in the familiar (and spectacular!) surroundings of the colleges and historic buildings had special meaning for her. Elaine and Tony are getting married in Hong Kong later in the year but they wanted a special photo session in a variety of locations, without the time-pressure of the wedding day.

We were fortunate to get permission to shoot inside the grounds of St. John’s College, which gave us some wonderful mediaeval architecture to use as a backdrop..

The couple certainly turned a few heads walking through the narrow streets of Cambridge:

This shot is one of my favourites:

Here’s one of the most famous locations of all – on King’s Parade, right in front of King’s College Chapel, which was founded by King Henry VI in 1441.

After a short break and a change of clothing, we went down to the “Backs” to get some photos of the couple in a punt on the river…
